In 2014, Goat Simulator advanced from being an April Fool’s joke to an absolute cult and hit title. Now the franchise returns with Goat Simulator 3 – without there ever having been a second part.
Goat Simulator 3 was announced yesterday at the Summer Game Fest with a wacky trailer that really pokes fun at the long-lost zombie sequel Dead Island 2 with its announcement video at the time. Even if there hasn’t been a second part to date, part 3 will be released in the current year 2022 – worthy of the crazy franchise. The release is planned for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC (Epic Games Store).
Coffee Stain Studios and Koch Media are once again focusing on the famous goat Pilgor, who is experiencing a new adventure. This time she’s found new pastures on the sprawling sandbox island of San Angora, a place where mystery and chaos abound. You can move freely in the open game world and explore the secrets of the island – or simply destroy everything.
This “next gen goat sim” features goats of all kinds as well as natural disasters of the unnatural kind, secret animal societies, triple jumps and just about any other nonsense you can dream up. And because humor is best in a group, in Goat Simulator 3 you can now form a herd of goats with up to four players and set off together. In short: there is also online multiplayer. In addition to the cooperative experience, you can also expect seven fun multiplayer mini-games in which you can compete against each other.
A more precise indication of the release date for autumn 2022 is still pending; You can see the trailer mentioned below.
