“We regret to reveal that Goat Simulator 3 has gameplay.” Those are the words of the publisher and developer, Coffee Stain Publishing and Coffee Stain North, in keeping with the themes of chaos, explosions and goat-shaped silliness.
While we’ve come to expect much from this quirky sim, Gamescom’s opening night live gave us our first look at Goat Simulator 3 gameplay. It certainly looks to be an experience based on its predecessor to unravel the secrets, with more multiplayer options, and even some goat yoga.
Goat Simulator 3 is a direct successor to the original Goat Simulator (yes, they skipped 2) and revolves around exploration, puzzle solving, and of course, doing everything possible to destroy it. Goats may look like friendly creatures with weird eyes, but in Goat Simulator 3, they’re just agents of chaos.
The game has alien weapons you can play with, mini-games to start anywhere, and even a secret goat society that sounds a lot like a cult, if you ask me. Even so, we all know that goat worship might not be too out of place in San Angola. There will even be vehicles where you can drive into anything or anyone, yes, including innocent civilians and gas stations.
We can look forward to seven mini-games; Headsplat lets you paint the world with your horns, The Floor is Lava sees you use your parkour skills to avoid the ground, and there’s even Prop Hunt, which plays like traditional hide-and-seek, But there are props (well, although it gets traditional in Goat Simulator 3).
Goat Simulator 3 will feature multiplayer for up to four players to unleash their goat, and this time around, it’s also hosting more cosmetic items so you can stand out from the crowd.
Those who want to play Goat Simualtor 3 will have to wait until November 17, when protagonist Pilgor and a group of her friends hit PC via Epic, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
When it comes to games that look a little silly, Goat Simulator 3 isn’t the only game filling the category on Gamescom’s opening night scene. Killer Clown from Outer Space: Game Revealed, Offers Horrific Comedy, and We’ve also seen Rick and Morty co-creators reveal some gameplay for upcoming shooter High on Life.
