There is a new patch God of War Ragnarok Valhalla DLC, for the most part it ups the difficulty across the board.
Announced at The Game Awards, God of War Ragnarok: Valhalla is a neat piece of free DLC that adds a roguelike mode to the story-driven adventure game. A new update was released earlier this week, and the full patch notes detail all the changes. In an effort to show a little kindness, there’s a change that will make things easier, especially on the easiest difficulty setting, “Show Me Your Will,” as the first Tyr battle is now easier. Unfortunately, however, that’s the only thing that gets easier.

According to the patch notes, the difficulty of some Arena challenges has been increased, and “the chance of health buffs and spear kill bonuses activating has also been slightly reduced.” The notes also note that “some tweaks have been made to ‘Forum’ to make the difficulty more appropriate,” although it’s unclear in which direction based on the notes.Valhara directed by Mihir Sheth explained on twitter
Various fixes have also been made for gameplay, UI, and general stability issues, so the DLC should be better overall now.
If you were worried that Valhalla would be the end of the rebooted God of War series, you don’t have to worry, as the game’s veteran writer says the story will continue. Exactly how this happens though, I’m sure we’ll have to wait a few years to find out.
