At the Golden Joystick Awards, the users decide who goes home victorious and who has to live with the shame of losing. This year From Software is pleased about numerous awards.
The Golden Joystick Awards were presented for the 40th time. The event is presented by GamesRadar+, but the community decides on the prices. This year, From Software’s Elden Ring was the show’s smash winner, picking up four awards including Ultimate Game of the Year. In addition, Soulslike was awarded “Best Visual Design”, “Best Multiplayer Game” and the “Critic’s Choice Award”, and From Software was also named “Studio of the Year”.

In the remaining categories, the prizes were distributed in a motley mix; in contrast to the German Computer Game Prize or the Game Awards, there are hardly any duplications. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom was awarded “Most Wanted Game”, the “Nintendo Game of the Year” is Pokemon Legenden Arceus. Meanwhile, #1 on PC was Return to Monkey Island, on PlayStation Stray, and on Xbox Grounded.
