STALKER 2 is apparently currently working on ironing out some bugs, but GSC Game World has revealed that an upcoming patch should fix some of them.
When STALKER 2 was finally released earlier this week, it was in a bit of a rough shape, although our own Connor was able to forgive that in his review of the game. The game did receive some mixed reactions elsewhere, but it performed very well on Steam, and modders quickly started fixing the lag issue. Thankfully, some improvements are also being made, and on the game's official Steam page, developer GSC Game World said a patch will be released next week, the first patch since its release.

“The game has been out for a few days now (which is still pretty surreal to say) and we've been carefully following your feedback in every possible form,” the post reads. “To the over a million followers in this area, thank you Your participation – it means the world to us. We're sure you guys have things to deal with in the area, but we do too.” This article doesn't go into detail about every issue in the game, but it does. Here's an overview of what you can expect from the patch.
For one, some crash fixes are coming, such as memory allocation failures, etc. Major issue progression will also be enhanced to eliminate bugs that hinder progression, such as issues with NPCs getting stuck in objects or having incorrect quest markers. You can expect some gameplay and balance tweaks, such as NPC behavior and weapon price changes, as well as some cutscenes and visual fixes. There are some other details, but you can read them yourself.
Importantly, notes were also shared at the end about several issues that will be addressed in future patches, one of which is that the analog sticks have some dead zones in certain situations. Another is the game's A-Life system, which has been a sticking point for many players – there's no word yet on when patches for these issues will be released, so you'll just have to hold on for a while.
