You can easily adapt the URL suggestions shown by Google Chrome when typing in the address and search field. Netzwelt shows how you use the function.
The address and search bar called the Omnibox in Google Chrome shows search suggestions in the form of keywords and specific web pages as you type.
The URL suggestions in particular can be annoying if irrelevant pages keep cropping up. Since Google Chrome gets the URL suggestions from the search history, the feature also provides information about the websites you have visited as you type.
You can easily adjust the URL search suggestions of Google Chrome or delete them completely. Google Chrome then fills the lines freed up in the search suggestions with related search queries or other URL suggestions, depending on the case.
The following steps show you how to check and adapt the URL suggestions in Google Chrome. You have various options for this.
Remove individual URL suggestions in Google Chrome

1After entering your search term you can click away individual URL suggestions with the mouse over an “X” symbol and thereby remove them. Alternatively, you can mark the suggested URL with the arrow keys and delete it with the key combination “Shift + Delete”.

Google Chrome then replaces the suggested URL with either another website or a similar search query.
If you want to completely remove certain websites from the URL suggestions in Google Chrome, you can use the following method.

Via the three points on the top right you open the menu and there the “History” in a new tab.

There you search for the domain of the desired website and then remove all URLs saved in the history. To do this, you can use the checkboxes to the left of the entries to select or remove them individually from the history using the three dots on the right.

Completely reset the URL suggestions in Google Chrome
Through the complete Clear Google Chrome search history you will also get rid of all url suggestions in the omnibox. It is important to note that the history will gradually fill up again and that URL suggestions will slowly reappear. Then there is another emptying of the course.
