Google Pixel 7 (Pro) – Leaked starting price and comparison to Pixel 6 (Pro)
With that, however, Google would forgo one of the most important sales arguments that was partly responsible for the success of the predecessor. As this is only an initial listing with a retailer, we advise you to treat this information with caution.
What innovations will the Google Pixel 7 bring?
We know from previous leaks that the two variants of the Pixel 7 should differ more clearly from each other than was the case with the predecessor. According to the current state of knowledge, this mainly affects the size of the cell phones.
The information comes from a CAD data leak that served as the basis for the first render images. The informants were also able to read the dimensions of the two new models from this data. In a direct comparison to the Pixel 6, they are as follows:
Pixel 6 | Pixel 7 | Pixel 6 Pro | Pixel 7 Pro | |
---|---|---|---|---|
Height | 158,6 mm | 155,6 mm | 163,9 mm | 163 mm |

Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 7 in comparison
Google Tensor 2.0
Google has not yet revealed many details about the new cell phone at the I/O developer conference. However, one innovation has already been confirmed, so the Pixel 7 will be equipped with the second generation Tensor chipset.
So far, however, hardly any details are known about the next edition of the in-house processor. According to an entry in the database of the benchmark tool Geekbench, it will offer a little more computing power than Tensor 1.0, but it is nowhere near the level of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip.
It remains to be seen whether this difference in performance will also be evident in practice. The Tensor 2 is the central innovation in the comparison of Pixel 6 and Pixel 7. It is therefore to be hoped that the strengths of the chip are not only in the area of AI and photography.
storage variants
It is still unclear how much RAM the processor will have. The memory variants are already known for this: you have the choice between 128 or 256 gigabytes.
Ex works with Android 13
The Pixel series phones get the latest Android version ahead of most other models on the market. The Pixel 6 (Pro) was the first model to be released with Android 12, and according to Google, the Pixel 7 will be factory-equipped with the upcoming Android 13.
Helleres Display
From the source code of an Android 13 beta version, data miners were able to collect details about the performance of the display. Thus, the Pixel 7 Pro should be able to be set manually to a brightness of 600 nits, and even up to 1,000 nits in automatic mode. With the predecessor it was over at 500 or 800 nits.
Design
In terms of design, the Pixel 6 (Pro) caused a stir with the prominent camera island bar on the back. With the first render images of the Pixel 7, Google has confirmed that they will continue to rely on this design and even develop it further.
Photos of a Google Pixel 7 Pro prototype were also shared via English and Russian Google fan chats on Telegram. In it, the mobile phone is shown from all sides.

Google has already officially confirmed the available color variants of the cell phones: The Pixel 7 Pro will appear in the colors Obsidian, Hazel and Snow, while the normal edition will be available in the variations Obsidian, Lemongrass and Snow.
The final design of the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro may now have been leaked by a well-known industry insider. They have been sent to 91mobiles for publication and are intended to show the official press photos. The style is at least consistent with the one that Google also uses for the Pixel 6 in its in-house online shop.

Will there be a Google Pixel Foldable?
After the Samsung has collected many positive reactions with the Galaxy Z Fold 3, rumors are circulating that Google could also be working on a Pixel Foldable. Although it cannot be ruled out that Google is working on a foldable pixel, there is no concrete evidence of this so far.
Since the discovery of four certificates at the FCC, the US approval authority for mobile devices, new impetus has come into the debate. Google has apparently registered four phones here – a measure that actually takes place shortly before publication.
According to the announcements at the I/O developer conference, at least one of the registrations could be the Google tablet shown here. The manufacturer has also announced the Pixel Watch.
