tutorial Google Pixel: Here’s an easy way to find all the music from your party the day before, better than Shazam
Google Pixels with some exclusive features. In it we find a tool that few Pixel smartphone owners know. A feature that allows you to better identify the music you listen to, but also those you have listened to, than Shazam.
Find music whenever you want on your smartphone
The Google Pixel has the “Listening” function, with which you can always find out the title and the artist of a piece of music. If it may sound like shazam, it’s the same principle simpler and almost instantaneous.
If you loved music you heard the day before, you can find it right in your listening history. Another situation that has happened to all of us is a title that goes by, you can’t get out of your smartphone in time to find the title. With the function “Hear”, this problem no longer exists.
On the other hand, it must be activated upstream so that you do not miss any music. Especially since this is possible with just one click add it to your favourites in your favorite music streaming app.
Enable “Listening” mode on Google Pixel smartphones
The activation of the hearing function is well hidden and not necessarily intuitive. But with a few clicks you can activate it.
- First go to the settings of the smartphone.
- Go to the Sound and Vibration section
- Tap the Listen segment.
- Activate the identification function
Your smartphone will then download a music database so that you can also find your music offline. It is then better to have the WiFi connection activated.
It is highly recommended to enable the feature “Show search button on lock screen”. This will show a small music logo even when your smartphone is locked. You can identify music in seconds without opening your phone.
Find music recognized by your smartphone
Once your smartphone has found and identified music, you will see the title and artist displayed at the bottom of the lock screen. If you miss the registration, it is possible to find the entire history of months back.
To do this, return to “Hear” from your settings and view the history. To make it even easier, it is possible to add a widget to the home screen.
- Tap and hold on your home screen background until a window appears
- Click Widgets
- In the Android System Intelligence section, see Listening History
You can now find all the music you’ve been listening to, even without an internet connection, by the most popular titles. The phone will record the music being played for a few minutes while waiting for the connection to be restored.
