Google is working flat out to expand the range of games offered by the game streaming service Stadia, thereby eliminating one of the biggest criticisms. As part of a new edition of the Stadia Connect video format, eleven new games have now been announced, to which a cooperation with Publisher Electronic Arts also contributes.
But one thing at a time: The so-called Pioneer Edition of the battle royale hit PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is now available at Stadia. This includes the basic game, the Survivor Pass "Cold Front" and an exclusive skin set. As of April 28th, the game will be free for Pro subscribers at Stadia. In addition, the "Click to Play" feature is introduced for the first time: with a click on this link players who own PUBG or an active Stadia Pro subscriber are brought directly into the game.
The mentioned partnership with Electronic Arts will bring some first titles of the publisher's portfolio onto the platform later this year. These include:
- Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (available this fall)
- Madden NFL (available this winter)
- FIFA (available this winter)
More EA games are set to follow in 2021. And: There are also the following new games on Stadia:
- Crayta (available this summer for Pro subscribers)
- Get Packed (from today exclusively on Stadia available)
- Wave Break (soon available exclusively on Stadia)
- Embr (exclusive to Stadia, with Stream Connect support, early access starts on May 21)
- Zombie Army 4 (available for pro subscribers from May 1st)
- Octopath Traveler (available today)
- Rock of Ages (June)
