Google’s game streaming service Stadia has overcome initial difficulties and has now also expanded its range of games. Now the next platforms are being developed.
The company has now announced that gamers on Apple devices will also be able to use the game streaming service in the future. With the countless iPhone and iPad gamers joining the group in the future, the service of its player base could possibly noticeably expand.
A corresponding functionality was announced a few weeks ago, but it was not necessarily easy to implement. Reason: Even now there is no stand-alone Stadia app on iOS or iPadOS devices because this is simply not possible due to Apple guidelines. After all, Apple would like to earn as much money as possible with Apple Arcade and its own gaming offers, which is why it is making it difficult for the competition.

Like Microsoft with xCloud, Google took an alternative route and enabled Stadia on iPhones and iPad via a web-based solution that went live immediately. All you need is the current iOS version 14.3 on your device. Then you can go to stadia.google.com in the Safari browser and start the game streaming from the browser. From there you can also place a corresponding shortcut icon on your home screen – for that app feeling.
Once logged in, you can access your game library and start playing. If you want to try the whole thing again, you can try the otherwise paid service Stadia Pro with available titles for a month for free. Cyberpunk 2077 via Stadia on your iPhone? This is now possible! There are no performance problems like on the Xbox One or PS4, all you need is a stable internet connection.
