Gotham Knights Always showing us the different members of the Bat family, the latest trailer gives us a look at the rowdy Red Riding Hood.
Anyway, Batman’s whole deal is usually that he doesn’t kill anyone. It’s obviously related to the killing of his own parents, and he doesn’t respond in the healthiest way, but you still, it’s a pretty strict rule. This rule doesn’t apply to Red Hood, aka Jason Todd, ex-Robin, as you’ve seen in recent trailers and how often he shoots people.
Well, technically, if you look at his character page on the official website, he should have “accepted Batman’s non-lethal fighting methods”, but his character trailer does show him using a lot of violent fighting methods , and he still wields several pistols using a pair.
The trailer kind of touches on Little Red Riding Hood’s motivation to protect Gotham, which seems to be rooted in Batman himself giving Jason a purpose. We also saw a very pointy costume from Red Hood.
The trailer’s footage is all in-engine and shows off his Lazarus Pit-derived powers, including his double-jump power, and honestly, he still looks pretty stupid. Obviously he has to have a way around Gotham, but the Spectral Bounce Pad might not be the way to go.
An earlier trailer gave us a glimpse of the first Robin, now better known as Nightwing, in all his fighting stick-smacking glory. We recently saw Batgirl kick some ass in her own trailer.
There’s a lot to learn about Gotham Knights and all of its editions and pre-order deals, so it’s best to gear up before the October 25th release. It’s currently on the list of upcoming games that haven’t been canceled yet, but considering it’s already had plenty of delays, we’re hoping not to worry too much.
