Most other major games are now delayed until 2023, Gotham Knights Has become one of the remaining big releases this year. To keep us interested, Warner Bros. brought some new gameplay to Geoff Keighley’s Summer Games Festival livestream.
Today’s trailer offers another look at the gameplay, following the expanded gameplay demo we saw almost a month ago.
In the video, we see the character Nightwing determined to keep Gotham safe.
As Batman’s first disciple before becoming a hero, Dick Grayson is somewhat optimistic as a natural leader, and a rather charismatic member of the Batman family.
Growing up in a loving circus family, he values close personal bonds. He also believes that in order to be worth fighting for, there must be something real to fight for; and that thing has always been someone else.
Nightwing is proficient at acrobatics, and is also good at taking down enemies with his signature double escrims – it looks like they’re wounded.
Gotham Knights looks to be going well, even if we haven’t quite got the hang of it yet. We know it can be played solo or cooperatively, and it will feature some RPG mechanics, crafting, and an open world that you can explore with any of its four main characters.
Ditching the PS4 and Xbox One consoles certainly gives us more confidence in the technical aspects of the game, but framerate issues are surprisingly common in Gotham Knights’ trailers. Still, the action looks solid, and it ends up influencing people’s opinions in one way or another.
Gotham Knights is coming to PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on October 25th.
