Your weekly freebie has arrived on the Epic Games Store, and it’s Fallout: New Vegasconsidered by many to be one of the best Fallout games of all time.
Developed by Obsidian and published by Bethesda, this is the Ultimate Edition, which includes all base game content plus a full suite of add-ons.
Additional DLC includes Dead Money, Honest Hearts, Old World Blues and Lonesome Road, as well as other add-ons: Courier’s Stash and Gun Runners Arsenal.
With Dead Money, you’ll find yourself lured into a trap masquerading as the Sierra Madre Casino. Here, you need to team up with three other people to survive.
Honest Hearts found you exploring Zion National Park in Utah, and of course things went wrong. Instead of a pleasant trip to Angel’s Landing, The Great White Throne, Lookout Point, The Three Patriarchs, or Cathedral Hill, you get caught up in inter-tribal wars and get involved with New Canaanite missionaries and the mysterious Burning Man conflict between.
In Old World Blues, you are teleported to the Big Mountain Research and Development Center. In the crater of the facility, you’ve been recruited by the Brain Tank to rescue them from a runaway science experiment. Good luck.
The final expansion pack, “The Lonely Road: Ulysses,” finds the original Messenger Six contacting you, promising an answer to why he refused to deliver the Platinum Chip at the start of Fallout: New Vegas. But they’ll only tell you why, if you made your last trip into the canyon of the Divide.
The base game itself is pretty expansive, but the additions bring new unique areas full of branching quests, new personalities, and more to play as a savior or pariah.
Each pack also increases the number of weapons you can wield, such as Two-Step Goodbye and Sleep Time–both humorous names for such a powerful arsenal. Each of the four main add-on packs increases the level cap by five, eventually raising the cap to level 50.
The next free game on the Epic Games Store is still a mystery and will be revealed next week on June 1st.
