At CES 2023, Sony is offering two grand tour information.
First, it declares its Game console VR2 will support Gran Turismo 7 At launch, secondly, it showcased the upcoming gt racing movie.
Honestly, Gran Turismo 7 is perfect for VR. Playing the game in the cockpit view already feels more immersive when you’re racing from the driver’s perspective inside the car. Just imagine how an artificial environment would be rendered on a headset in VR mode, allowing you to experience 360-degree panoramic content displayed in 4000 x 2040 HDR video format (2000 x 2040 per eye) at 90Hz/120Hz frame rates.
Scheduled for release on February 23rd, more than 30 games are currently awaiting the PS VR2 release window.
For its part, the movie is based on the true story of Jann Mardenborough, a young Gran Turismo player who won a series of Nissan races in 2011 to become a bona fide professional racer.
The movie stars David Harbour, Orlando Bloom and Archie Madekwe and will be released in August.
The film is directed by Neil Blomkamp (District 9, Chappie, Elysium) from a screenplay by Jason Hall (American Sniper). Asad Qizilbash and Carter Swan of PlayStation Productions produced with Doug Belgrad and Dana Brunetti.
