Sony has recently intensified its efforts to port its own first-party titles to the PC. The next game in this series could now possibly be the racing game Gran Turismo 7.
Will racing fans soon be able to immerse themselves in the world of the current PlayStation exclusive Gran Turismo 7 on the PC? In view of Sony’s PC efforts, the signs of this seem to be increasing.
Series creator Kazunori Yamauchi from developer Polyphony Digital has now spoken to GTPlanet expressed and confirmed that the studio is busy bringing its own games to the PC platform. At least a PC version does not seem to be impossible at the moment, although an official announcement is of course still pending.
“Gran Turismo is a very finely tuned title. There aren’t many platforms that can natively display the game in 4K/60p, so one way for us to make that possible is by reducing the platforms. It’s not an easy task, but of course we’re looking at it and considering it,” Yamauchi said in reference to the possible PC version.
Gran Turismo 7 has been available for PS4 and PS5 for around eight months. Since then, Polyphony Digital has diligently tweaked the game, squashed bugs and fixed performance issues. Month after month there are also content patches that bring new vehicles to the game.
Would you grab Gran Turismo 7 on PC? There the racer could then possibly receive further support for steering wheels and other platform-specific technical features.
