Elden Ring and God of War Ragnarok may hold the best place in players’ hearts, but Gran Turismo 7 is better than those two hits in one area.
It might not be GOTY 2022, but Gran Turismo 7 beats both games in some areas.
Gran Turismo 7 is the sales king in Japan
Famitsu has released an update on video game sales in Japan and the ranking is surprising. In the top 10 best-selling PS5 games, Gran Turismo 7 physically outsold Elden Ring and God of War Ragnarok combined.
A good achievement considering that car simulations are not the most popular genre. It would be interesting to also know the numbers in dematerialized form and whether promotions could have a positive effect or not.
Also in the top 10 are other PlayStation exclusives such as Horizon Forbidden West, Demon’s Souls and Marvel’s Spider-Man Miles Morales.
