GT7 dominates the new top 5 best-selling video games in France for Week 9. Pokémon Legends Arceus resists against Elden Ring and Horizon Forbidden West.
As every week, the SELL (Syndicate of Leisure Software Publishers) takes stock of the best-selling video games in France. For week 9, from February 28 to March 6, 2022, Gran Turismo 7 takes off. Discover the complete France charts.
Nintendo and PlayStation, the big winners
If the ranking of the charts in France is often dominated by the Big N, the best-selling video games in France for the S9 are dedicated to the declaration of love for the automobile: GT7.
the Driving simulator wins the top 3 with its PS5, PS4 and PS5 25th Anniversary Editions. A list that goes to show that the genre might not be so dead after all. But we’ll have to wait for the sales figures to see the difference with Gran Turismo Sport and draw any conclusions.
In fourth and fifth place, Nintendo does not give up with Pokémon Legends Arceus and Triangle Strategy.
In Week 8, PlayStation was still in the top five with Horizon Forbidden West on PlayStation 4 and 5. However, Guerrilla Games’ game w as edged out by Elden Ring PS4, Pokémon Legends Arceus, and Elden Ring PS5 in third, second, and one.
Charts France: What about the PC?
Inevitably on PC it’s a completely different ranking with a top 3 made up of Farming Simulator 22 (3rd place), Elden Ring Launch Edition (2nd place) and Elden Ring Collector’s Edition (1st place). This classification is identical to the previous one, including the order of the games. We therefore see the intact power of the pawn simulator and the outrageous success of the Elden Ring. Immediately after its release, the new FromSoftware defied all odds by stringing together records in various fields. Sales, number of concurrent players on Steam or even participation in Twitch, the franchise has done better than all souls.
