2022 should be a pivotal year for Sony, releasing very large exclusives: including Gran Turismo 7, which will be launched in March and now comes out with a new video.
If Gran Turismo Sport occupied the entire previous generation, fans of the franchise would in turn awaited the arrival of a new numbered episode. So we had to wait a little over eight years – yes, yes, Gran Turismo 6 was released on PlayStation 3 in December 2013! – to this wish with the advent of | Making Gran Turismo 7 come true, whose arrival on big wheels is approaching. Sony just released a new 4K trailer
a “finally tangible” level of realism
Obviously this is a very clear advertising trailer, the intention of which is not concealed for a second: The creator of the series and director of this new part, Kazunori Yamauchi, is therefore invited to this new Behind the Scenes video to say good things about your next baby and the PlayStation 5 in general.
The opposite would have been surprising at Sony’s own development studio Polyphony Digital: Yamauchi San seems particularly cheerful with the idea of bringing Gran Turismo 7 to the public, and for a number of reasons. For him it’s very easy his title “has exceeded a certain level of realism,” the same one that the Japanese have wanted since the 1990s.
a PS5 worthily exploited?
The Japanese director attaches particular importance to this using DualSense, the famous PS5 controller, with support for haptic feedback for immersive vibrations as well adaptive triggers. “One way to use these functions is to simulate the braking feel: for example, when the brake reaches a certain point and locks, the resistance on the trigger is removed.”says the game director.
Kazunori Yamauchi then switches on Ray tracing, used in Shapes, the game’s photo mode. As a reminder, this has been a very popular technology for some time, allowing the management of light, its reflections and ultra-realistic shadows. Unfortunately, this feature will not be in the game in Gran Turismo 7: On the other hand, the man at the head of the development studio emphasizes the presence of 4K, 60 FPS and HDR in real time
A plastic that promises to be very beautiful for an extremely generous content, back to the basics of the saga with a massive solo career, meticulous vehicle customization, and championships galore. See you on March 4th, 2022 on PS5, but also on PS4 since the game will actually be cross-platform despite a communication that is very focused on the white monolith.
