A community-awaited remake of The Elder Scrolls coming to Skyrim brings excellent news, things are progressing well and seem more and more promising.
Two remakes using the Skyrim engine have been in development for several years and are generating a lot of interest among fans of The Elder Scrolls games. The most anticipated of the two, Skywind, which plans to adapt Morrowind, is back in the news and is reporting promising progress.
The remake of Morrowind in Skyrim brings very good news
While waiting for The Elder Scrolls 6, fans of the Bethesda franchise can always count on Skyrim to be full of adventures in Tamriel. The most modified game in history can indeed count on a passionate community that continues to fill it with new content 13 years after its release. Among the fan creations that have generated the most excitement are the remakes of Morrowind and Oblivion, using the fifth game’s engine, which are being followed with great interest.
For many, Morrowind is still considered the best game in the entire Elder Scrolls series. A modernized version in Skyrim is therefore generating almost as much impatience as the development of the upcoming sixth opus. The creators of Skywind announced promising news in this regard at Creation Mod Con 2024, a convention where the most beautiful creations of fans of Bethesda games are presented. Through the video below, we are therefore entitled to two hours of gameplay of this highly anticipated remake.
In a year, the fans behind the project have clearly made great progress. Unfortunately, it’s still too early to know exactly when this unofficial remake of Morrowind will finally be playable in Skyrim. For the sake of its creators, let’s hope it arrives before The Elder Scrolls 6. However, given the enormous popularity of the third installment in the franchise, the competition between the two games might be tough for fans’ eyes.
