GreedFall 2: The Dying World will enter Early Access on September 24th and thanks to a new roadmap you now know when major updates will follow.
September 24th will be exciting for role-playing fans, as that’s when GreedFall 2: The Dying World by Spiders will go into Early Access. As usual, you’ll start with a limited scope of the game, which will gradually be followed by new content and features through updates. The publication of the roadmap at least confirms that, despite the tense atmosphere at the development studio, there are no delays in sight.
Anyway, at the start of Early Access you will get the start of the main quest as well as three regions of the game to explore. There are also six skill trees and six companions waiting for you, so you have a bit of bandwidth to get you started.
The first major update is due to follow in the fall. It will expand the main story and add a new area, as well as two new skill trees, a new companion and companion quests. The second major update will follow in the winter. The companion features will be expanded further, crafting will be integrated, there will be new skill trees and skills, and local faction quests.
It remains to be seen when things will continue, but at least there are a few things on the to-do list, including more story, regions and quests, more skill trees and skills, an increase in the maximum level and a photo mode. In the meantime, Spiders wants to implement further updates and balancing optimizations based on feedback from the players.
How long the Early Access phase will last remains to be seen. According to the plan, however, we can probably expect it to last at least a year. At the same time, work is being done on the console versions, but it is still unclear when we will see them.
