If Double Fine Productions has been part of the Xbox Game Studios team since June 2019, several titles from its catalog are currently missing on the Xbox One, including the remastered versions of the adventure games Grim Fandango, Full Throttle and Day of the Tentacle. Good news: they will finally arrive this year on the console.
As reported Xboxygen, the information was revealed by Tim Schafer, founder of Double Fine, at IGN's microphone. Precision was not given, but we imagine that the titles will directly integrate the catalog of Xbox Game Pass. Let's take this opportunity to remind you that the American studio is currently working on Psychonauts 2, which will be shown in July at the next Xbox 20/20 event, as well as on an unannounced AAA.
I don't know if this is news, but Tim Schafer told me during our stream for 25 years of Full Throttle that the remasters of Full Throttle, Day of the Tentacle and Grim Fandango finally arrive on Xbox later this year!!
Not sure if this is breaking news, but @TimOfLegend told me during our just-concluded 25th anniversary livestream of Full Throttle that all 3 of Tim's adventure game remasters – Full Throttle, Day of the Tentacle, and Grim Fandango – are finally coming to @Xbox later this year !! pic.twitter.com/zyeroWLX9i
