As you know, GTA 5 and GTA Online It will be released on March 15 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, but today Rockstar provided more details on how the graphics will be set up.
According to Rockstar, a new generation of users will be able to choose from three detailed new graphics settings.
One is fidelity mode, which is tuned for the highest visual quality, targeting 30 FPS. In this mode, PS5 and Xbox Series X support native 4K resolution with ray tracing enabled, while Xbox Series S supports upscaled 4K resolution.
There’s also a performance mode for more responsive gameplay, targeting 60 FPS. In this mode, PS5 and Xbox Series X support upscaled 4K resolution, while Xbox Series S supports 1080p resolution.
Additionally, the PS5 and Xbox Series X feature a Performance RT mode that mixes Fidelity and Performance modes, supports upscaled 4K resolutions, enables ray tracing, and targets 60 FPS.
With the next-generation version, you can expect faster load times, immersive 3D audio, platform-specific features like advanced haptic feedback, and more.
Current GTA 5 players will be able to transfer progress from Story Mode and their current GTA Online characters to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S with a one-time migration at launch. Starting today, you can start transferring your Story Mode progress by uploading your save to the Rockstar Games Social Club.
As previously announced, there is also a standalone version of GTA Online Available for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S that will debut at launch. The first three months will be free for PS5 players. If you have a Rockstar G ames Social Club account, you can also migrate your GTA Online character progression to PS5 or Xbox Series X/S on March 15th, then load the game on those new consoles.
With GTA Online, players can look forward to a variety of new quality of life improvements, including a new intro and tutorial for new players, a new front-end main menu that lets you go directly to Free Roam, Heist, Race, Versus modes, the latest Featured weekly events and more.
GTA Online players can also look forward to a series of new cars and a new addition to the Los Santos Auto Meet: Hao’s Special Works, which includes “best-in-class vehicle upgrades, new level races with specially modified vehicles, and a weekly rotation of Hao’s special productions. Time trials, and advanced test rides.”
Finally, a new career builder feature will be introduced. It’s designed for new players or anyone who wants to reset their character and start over. To help these players, Rockstar is giving away $4,000,000 in GTA$ for a selection of essentials, including commercial properties, vehicles and weapons.
