With GTA 6, one of the most important video games in history appeared in 2026. Fans are waiting for the game for more than ten years, the first two trailers were watched hundred million times. Fans thirst for further information.
At the phone conference on May 15, 2025, Take-Two and especially the boss of Strauss Zelnick commented on the figures in the quarter. Take-Two records on the new release date (May 26, 2026) and emphasizes the hype that is around the game-the success of the two trailers. The first trailer was watched 93 million times in the first 24 hours, the second even 475 million times. Strauss Zelnick says: “Rockstar broke the internet”.
At the investor conference, Take-Two did not reveal anything new, but that is not so surprising after the big news of the past few weeks.
Is GTA 6 more expensive than normal games?
During the conference, it was asked whether Take-Two may increase game prices because Nintendo did it with the Switch 2 and in the specific case Mario Kart World. Take-Two does not specifically respond to the question and clarifies not to discuss prices from individual games in this context. Strauss Zelnick says, however, to always want to offer much more value for players than the company demands money for it. Take-Two remains vague in this regard.
Grand Theft Auto 6 should actually be released in autumn 2025, but nothing becomes of it. Rockstar Games postponed the title to the next year and revealed a release date. The game will be released on May 26, 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
The second trailer currently delights all of the fans because it shows how beautiful the title looks. We are already making a forecast when the third trailer of GTA 6 will be released. Some periods would fit very well.
