She is loved, but hated above all: the Oppressor Mk 2 is one of the most powerful and annoying tools used by trolls and griefers in GTA Online. A griefer and troll dream
Why the Oppressor Mk 2 is so feared: The flying motorcycle equipped with homing missiles is currently one of the most powerful in GTA Online. In case you’re wondering why, it’s a flying motorcycle that fires homing missiles. The Oppressor Mk 2 is correspondingly popular with griefers and trolls, who often cause chaos and frustration in public lobbies.
Players traveling on foot or in non-armored vehicles have the flight ticks
often little to counter. Only skilled pilots or experienced players who know how to use explosive ammunition or other tricks make short work of oppressor pilots. Beginners and low-level players often only have to switch to a new session.
To be fair, it has to be mentioned at this point that the Oppressor Mk 2 is quite an expensive affair: the aircraft costs three to four million GTA dollars. Then there are also up to two million GTA dollars for the Terrorbyte including workshop, with which the Oppressor can be upgraded.
However, if you know how to earn money efficiently in GTA Online, this is not a big hurdle. We also provide tips and tricks for this in our money guide:

Oppressor nerf (hopefully) on the way
Why Rockstar gives hope for a nerf: the latest blog post in the Rockstar Newswire was mainly about the NextGen version of GTA 5 and Online, which is not relevant for PC players for the time being. Nevertheless, Rockstar promises that the multiplayer mode will be expanded and improved on all platforms in the future.
A concrete statement now gives hope that the Oppressor Mk 2 will be tackled again. This is what the blog post says: In the future we plan further adjustments for all versions of the game, in addition to balancing adjustments in other areas – such as vehicles that are commonly used in PvP battles.
This actually leaves little doubt that the Oppressor Mk 2 also falls under this category. After all, it is a vehicle and aircraft that has been the subject of heated discussion in the community for years. Nerfs or other restrictions for the flight tick are regularly requested (e.g. via Reddit) – sometimes even the complete removal from the game per Petition.
Imani-Tech as a first step in the right direction
What Rockstar has already done: But the developers behind GTA Online have not been idle. For example, in the last update, players got a new way to make life difficult for oppressor griefers.
The Contract added an agency as a new property to GTA Online. In their workshop, selected cars can be equipped with the so-called Imani-Tech. This allowed players to ensure that these vehicles would no longer be targeted by homing missiles. The following link shows how well this can work:

Expensive Oppressor counter: However, this car upgrade also requires the appropriate small change, which is not necessarily available to beginners in GTA Online: An agency including a workshop requires an investment of at least three million GTA dollars, the guided missile jammer costs an additional GTA 400,000 per car. Dollar. And then you must first own a car that is compatible with Imani-Tech…
A nerf to the Oppressor Mk 2 should therefore be well received in the GTA Online community. And of course it remains to be seen how extensive a potential balancing update for the flying rocket motorcycle will ultimately be. We’ll keep you up to date.
