Good news, those of you still playing GTA Online, as Rockstar has just revealed new content for its next major update – due out this summer – that will let your protagonist add to their ever-growing resume. In case you were wondering, that’s professional bounty hunter.
After all, what better way to prepare for Grand Theft Auto 6, coming in the fall of 2025, and the unique experience that will shape it than by playing as a sweaty, gun-toting vigilante who’s basically allowed to enforce the rules of the justice system using any means necessary, right? Well, maybe the only thing it can adequately prepare you for is wearing aviator glasses 24/7.

As stated in Rockstar’s latest news report, the “next big update” to GTA 5’s sprawling online section will let you set up “your own bail enforcement and bounty hunting business” – expanding your portfolio into another seedy corner of the market. While it will let you “clean up the strays of Southern San Andreas,” it’s unclear if the update will make any changes to the existing exciting system of placing collectible bounties on other players.
On top of that, there will be some new “Los Santos Secret Law Enforcement Events,” revealed by Vincent (the cop from the Cluckin’ Bell Farm Raid update released in March). If you don’t want to work, the ability to create your own custom drag and drift races through the Creator sounds pretty cool.

For those craving simple quality-of-life updates, Rockstar has also added sales mission timers “to make biker gang and gunrunning sales easier for solo players” – music to every grinder’s ears – as well as buffing some aircraft and, most importantly, ensuring snacks automatically refill when you launch most of the game’s missions.
There’s also talk that this won’t be the only service coming out of the product later this month, so we’ll have to see what else comes out.
Also, if you’re interested, some interesting details recently came to light about the game that Rockstar co-founder Dan Houser is currently developing at Absurd Ventures, the studio he founded after leaving the GTA developer.
