Game news GTA publisher Take Two reveals game cancellations
In a meeting devoted to the company’s balance sheet, Take Two, the parent company of GTA, revealed the cancellation of a game that resulted in significant financial losses. In the absence of the game’s name, some details have been provided.
Life is never a long calm river. Every publisher is faced with the cancellation of a project at some point. When the reasons are varied, it is not uncommon for such decisions to affect the company’s accounting records. Take Two pointed out in its last financial report that the cancellation of an unannounced game resulted in costs of $ 53 million.
Given the stated amount, many have watched, including the website Game spot, believe that the game in question is none other than the Arlésienne agents. Earlier this year, the publisher’s official website removed all references to a work we will likely never see. This deletion was announced through Ulvis’ tweet. Agent’s outlines remain blurry, but it must have been a counterintelligence and counterintelligence game set in the middle of the Cold War in the late 1970s. The program looked really good, but it looks like the rock star exclusivity is gone, fine. Unless the elements of the game are used to develop the game mechanics within the future GTA.
Gamespot claims that Take Two announced the trifle of 93 titles in development in 2020. But among these projects, some will not see the light of day, as Karl Slatoff, President of the company, explains:
It is likely that some of these games will never reach the end of their development. Just as we will no doubt add new titles to this long list.
When Agent is gone, Take Two will be busy and have to rely heavily on Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, out November 11th. And to say this three episode remake is expected is an understatement. More than a couple of days!
