James Gunn, well-known director of the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, is very active on social networks while living the confinement due to the Coronavirus. On his Instagram account, the director asked a series of questions and answers, the most talked about: Will someone die in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3?, being the answer: yes.
Obviously, Gunn has not gone into more detail, as collected Comicbook. The director did not want to advance so soon whether death will fall on a member of the Guardians or on a minor character, the latter being what happened in the last installment. However, as we saw in Avengers: Endgame, anything can happen, so we have to go to the cinema prepared for any possibility.
Few details are known about Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which possibly it will be the closing of the trilogy that James Gunn always wanted to do about Star Lord and company. The protagonists of this film will be seen before in Thor: Love and Thunder, where Groot will change his appearance again.
At the moment, the release date of the film is unknown, although Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe already has a calendar, in which its date does not appear, the only possibility being October 7, 2022. Otherwise, This third installment will have to wait for the year 2023.
