Under the title Lambda Wars Beta Strategy fans can now enjoy the mod for free. In a Blog entry on Steam The developers of Vortal Storm thanked the fans who gave them support over the long 13 years.
With the update last Saturday, the mod left beta status – even if the name suggests otherwise. The developers added some new features to the release. There are also more units on the Combine side, as well as new building types for both factions, which you can see in our gallery.
Lambda Wars turns Half Life 2 into a real real-time strategy game, including base building and unit management. In brisk battles we either slip into the role of the Combine and subjugate the human rebellion, or defend ourselves as humans from the alien overwhelming power.
