Halo the series in France: a partnership between Paramount and Canal +

Halo: How to watch the live-action series in France?

The first two episodes of the Halo series have just aired on the Paramount+ streaming platform. Unfortunately, this platform is not available to us at the moment and if no release date has been announced, we already know that the Hollywood company has signed several partnerships for the distribution of its productions, starting with that with Canal +. The French giant has confirmed it will air the Halo series “soon”. Do we have to wait for all the episodes or does the station have plans to air them soon? Nothing is certain at the moment.

The Halo series, which airs weekly in the United States, still has limited releases in several other countries. The only track we have at the moment corresponds to the CANNESERIES festival which will take place from April 1st to 6th. And it’s the television series Paramount and Amblin that will kick off the celebrations by airing their first episode. We’re hoping for a Canal+ release, of course, but again, nothing has been confirmed yet. So for now we’ll just have to be patient to discover the new adventures of the Master Chief.

Despite initial mixed reviews, Halo has already been renewed for a second season

As we know, adapting a video game into a movie or series has never been an easy task. The Halo series has made many divisive decisions to avoid the pitfalls of such a project, beginning with creating a timeline isolated from video game canon. Initial feedback from the press fell after the first episodes aired, and despite the goodwill of Paramount and 343 Industries, opinions remain quite mixed, with a score of 61 metacritical. In any case, the series has been renewed for a second season, which has not yet been filmed. This choice therefore demonstrates Paramount’s genuine confidence in its series.

With a colossal budget (nearly $10 million per episode), the press emphasizes the quality of the special effects but regrets a lack of depth in the scriptwriting issues. Despite being rich and vast, the Halo universe makes it difficult for the uninitiated to understand and engage with. To the average viewer, Halo would be a fairly generic sci-fi production struggling to maintain interest. Critics still highlight the performance of Pablo Schreiber, who embodies the Major. In addition, despite these first two episodes that seem a bit chaotic, the first opinions of Halo remain an ambitious show that has a lot to improve after that. You just have to wait for the French broadcast to form your own opinion.
