campaign cooperation Halo Infinite It’s been delayed a bit and won’t be available at the start of season 2.
According to 343 Industries, it’s making “tremendous progress” with its Campaign network collaboration, which runs concurrently with work on Seas on 2, as is Forge’s work.
However, the studio said it will take more time to achieve a “high-quality, fully functional four-player co-op experience”.
The team is also working on a two-player split-screen co-op experience on all Xbox consoles, from the original Xbox One to the Xbox Series X, as well as the non-linear, fully open-ended portion of the campaign. This created some “big challenges” for split screen, which took an extra 343 hours to solve.
Because of this, 343 says it won’t be able to release the Campaign network collaboration at the start of Season 2. The studio still intends to deliver the Campaign web collaboration late in Season 2, and will share a release date for it and the split-screen collaboration as soon as possible.
In the case of Forge, 343 says it’s making a lot of progress and has rolled out Forge to a small group of community creators. In the near term, it will continue to fly the Forge privately, while a public flight is also planned for later this year. The goal is to release Forge in Season 3.
Season 2 of Halo Infinite’s Lone Wolf launches May 3.
