The long wait will soon be over: the long-promised campaign co-op and the forge mode for Halo Infinite now have a concrete start date – at least as part of a beta.

343 Industries missed many of the promised features of Halo Infinite until the very end and also kept fans in suspense due to several postponements. As far as the long-awaited campaign co-op and the forge mode are concerned, there is finally light at the end of the tunnel.

The so-called Winter Update for the action game is scheduled to be released on November 8th, and that also brings with it the campaign co-op and the open beta of the Forge mode. There are also new features such as mission replay or a 30-level new Battle Pass.

Above all, the campaign co-op via network and the mission replay feature were two of the most frequently requested features of the title. Network-based campaign co-op gained even more traction after it was confirmed that split-screen co-op would no longer be available.

In the following video, the developers go into detail about all the new features of the winter update. This includes, for example, the radius-based system when co-op players steer through the semi-open game world. With the co-op come new achievements; there are also those for the mission replays.

However, two new Forge maps called Argyle and Detachment will be available for the open beta of Forge mode. In addition to the Battle Pass, you can also expect a new multiplayer mode called Cover-1-Flag; Two multiplayer events will follow in December and January, and Match XP will also be added to the game with the November update.
