Progress for all players in co-op
Co-op campaign and Halo: This went hand in hand for many years – until Halo Infinite came along. With the latest part of the series, there was no way to play the campaign with other players when it was released. That is set to change in the not too distant future.
There is no official release date for the co-op update yet, but the first beta test should take place in a few days. From July 11th to July 22nd, members of the Xbox Insiders Program can try co-op mode.
In the same breath, 343 Industries also revealed a crucial detail: The Halo Infinite campaign can be played through by up to four players at the same time after the update. The progress is automatically taken over for each player and not only for the host.

Essentially, this means that all completed main and side missions, unlocked equipment, found collectibles and all other things are taken over. Gone are the days of playing someone else’s game

This also applies if you join a co-op save that is further along in the campaign. In this case, the game automatically creates a version of the game world in which only the missions that all team members have already completed are completed.

Since Halo Infinite already offers crossplay support in multiplayer mode, this will also be continued in co-op. So you can also play with players on the Xbox without any problems.
When the co-op update will finally appear is not yet set in stone. The developers plan to release the co-op mode probably in August 2022.
