Halo Infinite may get one or another thing called Battle Royale in the game.
Halo infinite It was an exciting weekend for the first public multiplayer game test, and many people shared their first impressions of the gameplay. The event leak seems to have disrupted certain events in the game story, and was accidentally left in the game file before 343, which eclipsed the excitement a bit.
Of course, data mining of this nature is not surprising. One such data mining found a voice clip announcing Battle Royale. The clip embedded below is similar to the existing voice lines of various other game modes such as Slayer. Halo’s iconic announcer is usually the first word the player hears at the beginning of the game.
The same announcer also announces other events in multiplayer games, such as when the player has won certain medals: such as double kills. Given the nature of this clip, this may indicate that Halo Infinite is getting a Battle Royale mode, or at some point.
This obviously does not confirm that the situation is still the case, because the voice line may only refer to some other modes in Halo Infinite, named Battle Royale, but it is not the single life mode that we tend to think of. BR may not be a model at all, but may be some kind of medal or mid-game event that requires a roll call.
343 Industries has repeatedly refuted rumors that Halo Infinite will get a battle royale mode on multiple occasions, but the plan may have changed.
Halo Infinite is coming to PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S this holiday season.
