The question has been around for as long as most gamers can think of: Are PC or Console Gamers Better? Can mouse-keyboard players really aim better, despite generous aiming assistance from controller users? Halo Infinite wants to help resolve the old dispute. On the battlefield!
Because Halo Infinite contains one special ranking mode, in which PC players with mouse and keyboard compete against consoleros with controllers. The developers probably thought that the better input device might win. Alternatively, ranked modes are only available between PC or only between console players.
Many players should like the idea: Finally a mode in a first-person shooter that really focuses entirely on the fight between PC and console players. So: give everything for science, uh, competition? No, for the PC of course!
But why do they even do that? Developer 343 Industries explains in a video why the PC plays a special role in this Halo release. They also explain how they want to meet the high (and diverse) demands of PC gamers:

Hope rests on Halo Infinite
Halo Infinite will be available for PC, Xbox One and Series X | S on December 8, 2021. In order to ensure the best possible result, the developers had to remove two modes that are now to be added later. The reason: what appears should be mature. Anything that does not meet this requirement will have to wait longer.
Halo Infinite’s multiplayer mode will be free to play. And even before the release, the developers received a lot of praise for their concept of using fair microtransactions instead of opaque loot boxes as a business model.
The multiplayer mode in particular has raised great hopes so far: After a test run, players and the press were enthusiastic about Halo Infinite. If the story mode is now also fun, a real December hit could await us. How good the game actually is in the end, you can of course find out in good time in the GameStar test.
