Update to Halo infinite New playlists will be added next week and some adjustments will be made to some of the more frustrating specific mode challenges.

As promised last week, 343 Industries will add an additional multiplayer list to the game on Tuesday, December 14. There will be four in total, namely Slayer, Fiesta, FFA and Tactical Slayer (SWAT).

The original plan for the team’s Slayer playlist included various new variants that could not be deployed in time before the holidays. In order to resolve player feedback on Slayer in the near future, the team will first release a basic Slayer product, and will “enhance and expand” it with more variants in future updates.

In addition to the playlist, the studio will also adjust the challenge. This includes removing mode-specific challenges, reducing some of the requirements for other modes, reducing the intensity of the weekly ultimate challenge, and adding new challenges specific to new playlists.

One of the new challenge categories is based on cumulative player points, which is “a small step towards performance-based XP.” More details will be shared on Halo Waypoint next week.

During this period, the team is also actively investigating reports of intermittent hiccups affecting players in Big Team Battle mode. In addition, the team is continuing to review ranking matches and player feedback on “potential anomalies.”
