If the current roadmap is still in progress, the campaign partnership will be released sometime in late August.
The campaign co-op was originally scheduled to begin in Season 2, but was delayed to create a “high-quality, fully-featured four-player online co-op experience.”
The team is also working on a two-player split-screen co-op experience across all Xbox consoles, from the original Xbox One to the Xbox Series X, as well as the non-linear, broadly open portion of the event. The studio, which plans to arrive before the end of the year, said there had to be some “significant challenges” with the split-screen wand, which the team took some time to solve.
As a result, campaign network collaboration was delayed at the start of Season 2. Once the flight is over and the team has made any necessary changes, it will likely share its release date and split-screen collaboration as soon as possible.
Halo Infinite Season 2: Lone Wolves kicks off on May 3, and according to 343 Industries, is a little “bumpy.” One of the things that didn’t go as planned was the disturbing event and the false challenge of the final Spartans standing, but things worked out in the end.
