Halo fans are eagerly awaiting the new Halo Infinite release for Xbox Series X / S, but there may be even more to be excited about. Are you even planning a second project?
It looks like Halo fans have reason to be happy because Microsoft could be working on more than just Halo Infinite within the long-standing exclusive franchise. At least a new job advertisement suggests this.
Microsoft is now looking for a new employee on its own website who will act as a producer in the future. Interesting above all: One speaks explicitly of the fact that this “should help to develop a new project within the Halo universe”. The wording and the fact that Halo Infinite has been in the works for a very long time suggest that this is likely to be a completely new game.
The new producer will be based in Redmond, Washington, the city where Halo developer 343 Industries is based. The question remains, of course, what this other Halo title could be. The continuation of the Halo Wars strategy series would certainly be conceivable, as would a spin-off in the style of Halo: ODST … or something completely new!
