Focus Home Interactive and the homeworld creators of Blackbird Interactive are taking another trip into space and have now announced a new title with Hardspace: Shipbreaker. For a change, this is definitely not a strategy game.

Blackbird Interactive has made a name for itself above all as the studio behind Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak and the upcoming Homeworld 3 – and remains true to space with its latest title. However, you leave the real-time strategy genre, because Hardspace: Shipbreaker becomes a sandbox survival title.
Above all, the new game should shine through a realistic physics system and several noteworthy destruction effects, which according to the description are presented to you in a "playground of creative destruction" in space. You can get a first impression of how it should look in the trailer below and the first gallery with screenshots.
The starting shot will be given as part of an early access in summer on the PC, but there is still no specific date for the planned full version. The early access variant should already have many features to offer and will therefore come with two ship classes; more classes will follow later. In terms of action, the first chapter of the planned story campaign will be playable.
In the course of early access, additional ship classes, missions, daily challenges, leaderboards, mod support and more are planned.
