Windows 11 was introduced last week. The presentation also dealt with the release of Microsoft’s new operating system. So far there has been talk of »Holiday 2021«, which is commonly understood as a reference to the Christmas holidays.
Windows 11: release in October?
Sources close to the company should be The Verge have now revealed, however, that Microsoft plans to put the Windows 11 release on October. And there are other strong indications of this.
During the Microsoft event, the month of October could be seen more often, a few times even specifically on October 20, 2021 (10/20/21), as can be seen in the image embedded above at the bottom right. A Teams message that was visible during the presentation also read »excited to turn it up to 11… can’t wait for October!«, Which in Europe means something like» I’m looking forward to giving 110 percent … can hardly wait until October is finally «.
According to The Verge, that message came from Stevie Bathiche, a member of Microsoft’s Surface division. This message can indicate the release of new products in the Surface family, or a release date for Windows 11.
Officially, Microsoft continues to speak of “Holiday 2021” and a release of Windows 11 towards the end of the year. But that may well indicate a launch of the operating system in October.
