The Hearthstone expansion: Ruins of the Schwerbenwelt sends you through the Dark Portal into a war-torn realm. The package includes 135 new cards for monsters, characters, spells and artifacts.
With the demon hunter, a new class also comes into play for the first time. The class relies on an aggressive style of play thanks to chaotic devil energy and soul magic, with which you can let go of direct attacks and demon servants against your opponents. 30 of the new cards are specially tailored to the new class and are available to players free of charge. All you have to do is complete the free single player campaign that serves as a prologue for the class.
The new cards also include the Primes, a new type of legendary servant who can have a major impact on the course of the match. In their initial form, Prime's are powerful and inexpensive servants for early to mid gameplay. When they leave the game board, they are shuffled back into the player's deck in a greatly improved form. Players will also have to compete with captive demons. These powerful servants are initially "inactive" for two turns and cannot attack or take damage. As soon as they are activated, however, they unleash an effect that can change the course of a game.
Players logging into Hearthstone can complete a questline to earn a total of six packs of cards: three from Outland Ruins and one each from Dragon Legacy, Uldum Savior, and Shadow Conspiracy. The first quest in this series is available today, the second and third will follow on April 8th and 9th. In addition, all Hearthstone players who log in until June 29 will receive the legendary servant Kael'thas for free.
Ruins of Outland is available today for Mac and Windows PCs, Windows, iOS and Android tablets and smartphones. Card packs from Outland Ruins can currently be won in Hearthstone Arena mode. Players can also buy them in gold or real money at the same price as other packs of cards in Hearthstone.
