Heihachi is not dead! Everyone’s favorite grandpa is back from the dead and returning to Tekken 8 this fall

Dead, everyones, Fall, Favorite, Grandpa, Heihachi, returning, Tekken

Heihachi Mishima, a major character who seemingly died at the end of Tekken 7, is back! He’ll be returning to Tekken 8 as part of the game’s current DLC Season Pass, launching this fall.

Director Katsuhiro Harada and producer Michael Murray made the announcement, showing off a series of in-game animations and new story details, hinting at more story content to come as the game gets closer to release.

Harada and Murray also said that the next new character for Tekken 8, Lydia, will be released on July 22 (US) and July 23 (Europe). In addition to Lydia, all players will have access to the photo mode and the seaside stage.

On top of that, the Tekken World Tour 2024 Grand Finals will be held in Japan this December, which will cap off the year-long Tekken competitive circuit. If you’re interested in seeing some real-life Tekken over the course of four days, reserve your tickets now.
