Helldivers 2 players have just received a good amount of supplies: new weapons, armor and skins in the new Viper Commandos War Bonus, a massive balance of stratagems and weapons and long-awaited improvements to the War Table. Although this time we have received fewer weapons than usual… and we want more.
A recent leak has shown what could be the next big thing in Helldivers 2 in matters of stratagems. It is a support weapon and, simply explained, it is a rocket launcher that allows projectiles to be guided when they are in the air. The name of the weapon in real life is M202 FLASHa rocket launcher designed to replace flamethrowers thanks to its 66 mm incendiary projectiles.
How this new stratagem works, if it ends up Helldivers 2, it’s simple: it can fire four rockets before reloading and we can guide them with the aim in real time while they are in the air. The game version appears to carry explosive projectiles and not incendiary ones. The reaction from players on Reddit has been very positive and would undoubtedly be a very valuable asset on all fronts.
This weapon is much more iconic than you imagine. Not only has he appeared in video games such as Battlefield and The Division 2, he reached his peak fame after appearing in the 1985 film Commando in the hands of Arnold Schwarzenegger. In fact, the iconic scene was used to replace the actor with Phil Spencer and the gun with the Xbox Series X as a joke due to the shape of the console.
