Helldivers 2 players, rest assured that a “glitch” is preventing major orders from being tracked correctly

If you’re currently fighting for Sweet Democracy in Hellraiser 2 and you’ve noticed that the game’s current main order isn’t making any progress, it seems there’s a reason for that. Earlier today, the official Helldivers 2 Twitter account posted a notification saying that a “minor outage” had occurred that prevented your Liberation Efforts from being properly tracked, and it’s not entirely clear why. True to form, the tweet read: “Helldivers! Our galactic warfare systems have experienced a minor outage following the destruction of a long-range array in Vernan Wells.”

“During this time, your liberation efforts may not be tracked and progress may not be displayed correctly. Our team is investigating the issue!” In real-world terms, there is some kind of bug (pun not intended), Developer Arrowhead is trying to fix it, but you’ll have to wait a while before it’s ready. It’s not actually clear if this is just a visual issue and progress is being tracked but just not showing up, but maybe if you don’t want to waste time you can safely hold on until the issue is resolved.

Hellraiser 2 has encountered various issues since its launch earlier this year, particularly related to server capacity, but it’s fair to say that no one could have predicted that it would become such a success. Currently, Arrowhead is trying to balance adding new content and fixing bugs, but ultimately it wants to make “the best live service game you’ve ever played.” Earlier this week, the developer also set players the task of eradicating 2 billion bugs in a week, but everyone accomplished the feat so quickly that people apparently had to… do the math.
