The studio behind one of the biggest video game successes of the year, Helldivers 2, was able to share its vision of the current crisis in the video game industry during the Golden Joystick Awards. During this ceremony, the title won four awards and could well win more at the 2024 Game Awards. This could have served as a platform for a call to save democracy and the industry.

Helldivers 2 was released on February 8, 2024 and has become one of the biggest hits of the beginning of the year. A stunning first start, but has since run out of steam a bit. Unfortunately, if Arrowhead Games got between the bullets thanks to the success of Helldivers 2, many didn't have that chance. Hopefully, 2025 will be kinder to the video game industry as a whole.
