It's easy to forget that Hellraiser 2 has still been hacked by Illuminate over the past few days, as everyone has been caught up in the price rebound for the game's Killzone crossover gear. However, the aliens are still doing their thing in the game, and their next move in the war may delay your access to the new ride.
Remember the first drivable car, fast recon vehicle or FRV in Hellraiser 2 mentioned in the Omen of Tyranny update announcement? Well, that's what the bad guys are aiming for, and the players think they're aiming for something else.

“The AM Defense Factory Center on Achernar Secundus is under attack by the Lighters, threatening the production of Fast Reconnaissance Vehicles (FRVs),” reads the latest major order from Arrow. “If the Lighters are not repulsed, the distribution of FRVs will Importantly, many colonists would also be killed or kidnapped.”
So, naturally, people on the Helldivers 2 subreddit and the game itself were all saying “gee, better switch my ass to Achernar Secundus” just to look at their map and realize something. The New Order's home planet is not far from Meridian, and long-time Hellstalkers will remember the planet that was spaghetti-turned into a purple black hole back in June.

Now, in an interesting coincidence, players have noticed that the Black Hole's appearance has recently been revamped with the deployment of Killzone crossover, taking on a darker tone and gaining some extra floating parts around it. The natural conclusion is that the Illuminati will soon take action against Meridian, perhaps doing something like pulling some new reinforcements from the hole.
For much of the year since the hole became a thing, many people believed it was likely where the Illuminator entered the game, which doesn't seem like much of a leap in logic, but the Arrowhead itself isn't convinced yet .
A recent in-game alert from the studio has this to say: “Some Helldivers may have noticed a new electromagnetic phenomenon near the Meridian Black Hole. High Command is aware of the situation and experts are closely monitoring the situation.” Field.
“Helldivers are advised to avoid distractions and focus their full attention on dealing with light threats.” So, there you go. Stop thinking and leave it to the experts. I'm sure everything will be fine in Meridia.
At least if anything happens in the back hole soon, you'll have some gear from Helldivers 2's Killzone crossover on hand when you head into battle, as Arrowhead responds to pricing controversy by making it free to everyone Part 2 of Killzone is given away.
