If you’ve recently tried to jump into battle in Helldivers 2, but ended up getting stuck in an infinite loading screen loop, there’s good news. The game’s latest patch aims to stop this from happening. Additionally, Arrowhead revealed that we might start getting some information about the next War Bond “soon.”
As stated in the patch notes, which mostly consist of the usual section on “Known Issues,” Arrowhead has used patch 1.000.405 to specifically address one issue where the poor souls trying to join in on the action end up getting stuck in the Hellpod loading screen, looping endlessly while the game won’t allow itself to advance to the next stage, sending the affected divers to the planet of their choice.

It’s worth noting that while the fix is “designed to reduce the number of people currently affected by this issue,” Arrowhead doesn’t appear to have completely eliminated the problem, so if you find the problem persists after today’s update, you might want to file another bug report. This should go without saying, but if you do, please spare a thought for the poor soul who has to read this report, even if you’re understandably frustrated.

Beyond that, while Super Earth will still have to wait a while before it can actually get its hands on the “Interstellar Battle Station” that came with yesterday’s Major Order victory – as made clear in the notification players received after securing the W, there will soon be something to get excited about.
This morning on the game’s Discord server, community manager Baskinator was asked if people can expect any information about the next War Contract after Viper Commandos, to which they responded: “Yes, it will be very soon. I don’t have an exact announcement date yet, but we’re getting closer to it.” While they were tight-lipped on details, they did say: “I will tell you it’s a good War Contract, I like it,” later adding: “I can’t give any hints, but I feel like this contract will fulfill a wish I’ve seen from everyone.”
