Okay, so the latest Hellraiser 2 main order is a bit tricky. Some poor helpless kids, some poor helpless anti-tank mine material. Players can only rescue one, and the good news is that it looks like the kids might get recognized. Well, that is if Arrowhead brings in some nice rewards.
To be fair, who can blame them for wanting more? They’ve been disappointed recently with news about upcoming War Bonds and patches, some of which will surely not be deployed in the next few days.

“An SOS call from Vernan Wells describes thousands of civilian survivors trapped in the ruins of Super Citizen Anne’s Children’s Hospital,” the latest command brief reads. “Food and water supplies are dwindling. It is remarkable that they have survived this long after the fall of the SEAF recruiting facility at Vernan Wells. Without urgent help, they will soon succumb to starvation, thirst, or automaton slaughter.”
Unfortunately, it adds that “Malfaq Island contains a large explosives cache” and “will likely contain critical raw materials needed for the eventual deployment of the MD-17 anti-tank mine.” So, here’s the situation: “Only the first planet to be liberated has a chance of being saved. The Helldivers are tasked with deciding which course of action – rescuing the children, or the anti-tank mines – will ultimately save the most freedom.”

So it was a bit confusing as people went on the battle to liberate the Aesir Pass, which is the gateway to both planets. Which way did they go? Well, in response to everyone immediately saying “sorry kids, it was a ruse,” an ironic moment in favor of the kids occurred on the game’s subreddit.
“Arrowhead, if we saved the kids please give us a cape that the kids made to thank us and/or a painting that the kids painted on our super destroyers. Do the right thing. Save the kids,” reads one meme post, which includes a MS paint model of what such a cape would look like. This isn’t the only post doing the same thing, by the way, there are a bunch of posts wondering what the reward for saving kids is besides the obvious karma boost.
Additionally, a moderator on the game’s Discord appears to have changed his display name to Helldivers’ iconic character General Brasch and ordered people to rescue the child, declaring: “The lives of future divers must be saved.”
