Because there is more to life than just the Game Awards, yesterday another prestigious ceremony took place here in France: Les Pégases 2024. A great evening that hosted a whole range of video games from around the world. Be congratulated in different ways and crown categories. Own video games, all developed in France, but also a selection of foreign hits that shined in their respective categories.
Last night at around 8 p.m. the Pégases 2024 took place, broadcast live on the Twitch channel France TV, which supports the event. An evening full of events that offered almost 19 prestigious titles for as many games that are considered references in their field. Among the nominees we find big titles from Ubisoft like The Crew Motorfest and Assassin’s Creed Mirage, but also many more modest games like Unknown Soldiers: Brothers in Arms, Dordogne, JuantSongs from Sennaar or encore The wreck. Very nice games, most of which were brilliant for the Pégases.
Finally we have the winners of the 2024 Pegasus Ceremony!
Despite being present, GOTY 2023 failed to win the evening’s ultimate prize. However, Baldur’s Gate 3 won in its Best Foreign Game category, which is no surprise given Larian’s outstanding software. Ubisoft also won some nice titles like the Audience Award with Assassin’s Creed Mirage or even that of Best gaming service with The Crew Motorfest. But it is above all Unknown Soldiers: Brothers in Arms It was a hit, the indie game under the aegis of the publisher won no less than 3 awards. A very good performance.
The ultimate prize, however, goes to another independent game: Chant of Sennaar by Rundisc Studio, published by Focus Entertainment. This extremely atypical puzzle game convinced everyone both artistically and playfully. Chant of Sennaar was therefore voted the best game of the year at Pégases 2024 and also received the awards for best independent game and best game design. A great success for a title that clearly deserves to be known.
