It’s the strangest case we’ve seen for a gaming computer in a while: On Reddit, a gamer shared a video of his PC – which is located in a car rim.
To get straight to the point: No, the idea of a gaming PC in a rim is not new and has been taken up several times. der8auer
about crafted in 2021 an appropriate computer for the racing driver Daniel Abt.
Nevertheless, the calculator shared on Reddit is noticeable because the player not only used the rim itself as a housing – in the video you can also see the tires, air pressure cap and brake caliper. This in combination with the products used makes it something special.

And the computer also looks pretty stylish. With the colorful LED lighting and details such as a speedometer-style voltage display, the NOS sticker or a Mishimoto radiator, watching it immediately brings back memories of Need for Speed: Underground 2.
The highlight is not the PC hardware
Unfortunately, the creator of the Reddit post does not provide any further information about which components are in the computer – the camera work in the video, which has been criticized by users, does not make it any easier to find out:
The build is great, but the camera work is rubbish. Too close, too fast.
What we are quite sure about is that, based on the design, the graphics card is a Gigabyte Aorus. The hexagonal logo in the middle in conjunction with the two crossbars above the side fans also suggests that it is an RTX 2000 above the RTX 2060. However, we were unable to find out the exact model.
Fortunately, there are other details that catch the eye – primarily the rims themselves. They are probably one of the more expensive cases on the market Market
count and cause quite a stir in the comments. For example, one user writes:
There’s no chance that this is a real Advan, unless it has some invisible damage.
Why the statement? The rim is apparently an Advan Racing RZ from Yokohama Wheel. In the comments, their value is estimated at between 300 and 700 US dollars (275 to 645 dollars).

The builder is unanimously praised in the comments for his idea and attention to detail. As a car and tech guy, this is fantastic.
, I love how the speedometer flickers before it starts.
or Damn, I’m impressed.
But there are also users who personally can’t do much with the build: Very creative and talented build, but not my beer.
And of course there are jokes and helpful comments underneath the video:
Just hope it doesn’t roll away

Why show voltage? Temperature, utilization or power consumption would be much more useful.
What do you all mean? Are you also impressed by the build – or have you just seen too many rim calculators in your life? Do you think the Advan rim used is real? Were you able to find out other hardware components used? And what values would you show on the speedometer display? Write it to us in the comments!
