Superman Legacy has just resurfaced and apparently we have several clues about the actress who will be playing Supergirl. It remains to be seen how the community will react.
If asked about a Superman movie, most of you will probably say the one starring Henry Cavill. They’re part of the DC Extended Universe (or DCEU), but they don’t necessarily agree. Also, there is only one in this list that is truly dedicated to the Kryptonian, and that is Man of Steel. Now the superhero is restarting with Legacy. This time not an expanded universe, but a brand new feature film with a new cast. Plus, we may know the actress who will play Supergirl.
Who will play Supergirl in Superman Legacy?
The cast of Superman Legacy is slowly but surely being revealed. At least if it doesn’t fall victim to leaks. We already know who will wear the S, and it’s David Corenswet. Yes, it won’t be Henry Cavill, and there’s no need to mention that it didn’t just make people happy. In addition, we also find Rachel Brosnahan (Lois Lane), Nathan Fillion (Green Lantern) and Edi Gathegi (Mr Terrific). But who will wear the Supergirl costume? It’s a big mystery that will soon be solved. In any case, there are several possible candidates.
From what we’ve learned, three actresses auditioned for the role of Superman’s cousin. That in itself does not mean that they will be preserved. On the other hand, if one of them is maintained, it is always interesting to communicate this information. In order we have Milly Alcock (House of the Dragon), Emilia Jones (Locke and Key) and (American Housewife). As always, the community is divided on this topic, but again, it could very well be someone else. In any case, the public’s curiosity has just been aroused, all that remains is to wait for confirmation.
What we know for sure is the person who will lend his facial features to Lex Luthor, Superman’s nemesis. James Gunn has personally confirmed it will be Nicholas Hoult. “Yes, I can finally say that Nicholas Hoult will be playing Lex Luthor in Superman Legacy and I couldn’t be happier.”, the director revealed to us on Instagram. Well, it wasn’t a big surprise based on the leaks, but it’s still excellent news. However, Gunn still said the decision “was only final a few days ago” (at the time of confirmation last December). If in doubt, it was advisable to take a pinch of salt.
